Delete Your Account

Last updated: July 5, 2026

You can delete your Bakaloo account at any time, whether or not you still have the app installed. This page explains both ways to do it and exactly what happens to your data afterward.

Option 1: Delete from within the app

  1. Open the Bakaloo app and sign in.
  2. Go to Profile → Account Settings.
  3. Tap Delete Account and confirm.
  4. Confirm your identity using your device's fingerprint/face unlock (or your device passcode if biometrics aren't set up).

Your account is deactivated immediately once you confirm.

Option 2: Request deletion by email or phone

If you've uninstalled the app or can't sign in, email privacy@bakaloo.in or call +91 99249 98906 from your registered email address or number, and ask us to delete your account. We'll verify it's really you before acting on the request, and complete it within 30 days.

What gets deleted

What we keep, and why

Indian tax and accounting law requires businesses to retain invoices and transaction records for a set number of years, so we keep your past order, payment, and wallet transaction records even after deletion, along with your phone number, solely to meet that legal obligation and to prevent abuse of promotional offers. This information is not used for marketing after your account is deleted, and is not shared with anyone except as required by law.

Wallet balance

If you have a remaining Bakaloo Wallet balance, please use it or contact support@bakaloo.in to arrange a refund before requesting deletion — a wallet balance is not automatically refunded when an account is deleted.
